Follows the life of poet Yun Dong-Ju (Dec. 30, 1917 – Feb. 16, 1945). He was eventually imprisoned by the Japanese government for being involved in the Korean independence movement.

Eiji (Ken Takakura) works as a prison officer in Hokuriku. At the age of 53 Eiji loses his wife who he loved the most. Eiji then receives a letter from his dead wife which requests that her ashes be spread by in the sea next to her hometown. Her wife never mentioned such a thing while she was alive. In order to find out her real intentions, Eiji heads to his wife's hometown of Nagasaki with his homemade camper van.

A father and his two children wander the margins of modern day Taipei, from the woods and rivers of the outskirts to the rain streaked streets of the city. By day the father scrapes out a meager income as a human billboard for luxury apartments, while his young son and daughter roam the supermarkets and malls surviving off free food samples. Each night the family takes shelter in an abandoned building. The father is strangely affected by a hypnotic mural adorning the wall of this makeshift home. On the day of the father’s birthday the family is joined by a woman—might she be the key to unlocking the buried emotions that linger from the past?

Mid 30's Nam Hyun-Soo (Cha Tae-Hyun) is a popular radio DJ and entertainer. When he was younger, he was even more popular as a teen idol. One day, his apartment doorbell rings and a young lady named Hwang Jung-Nam (Park Bo-Young) appears and a young boy appear on his doorstep. The young lady tells Hyun-Soo that he is her father and he is also a grandfather to her son Ki-Dong (Wang Seok-Hyeon). Hyun-Soo not believing any of this, attempts to close the door, but when Jung-Nam threatens to go to the press he allows them to stay in his apartment. Complications arise when they are spotted outside and people assume they are romantically involved!

Set along the ‘Bridge of No Return’ in Panmunjom, the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. One day, a border guard is killed by a rifle bullet; the suspected marksman is a South Korean soldier (Lee Byung-Hun), who is found wounded in the middle of no-man’s-land. This incident will have grave repercussions. Both North and South Korea regard the incident as an act of deliberate provocation. The North accuses the South of having committed a ‘terrorist attack’, while South Korea suspects the North of having attempted an ‘abduction’. Both sides appeal to the authorities of the neutral states (NNSC )for help and ask them to investigate the affair. A female Swiss army captain (Lee Yeong-Ae) of Korean descent is then sent to Panmunjom to investigate the death of the North Korean border guard.
